On the seminar on trade facilitation in Minsk
13.12.2018A national seminar “Implementation of the WTO Agreement on Trade Facilitation in Belarus’ laws and regulations ” was being held in Minsk on December 12-13, 2018. The seminar was organized by the State Customs Committee of Belarus together with the secretariats of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the World Trade Organization (WTO).
The event was attended by Ms. Nora Neufeld, Secretary of the WTO Trade Facilitation Committee, and Mr. Mario Apostolov, UNECE Trade Regional Advisor, representatives of ministries and departments of Belarus, Belarus’ customs authorities, business community and scientific community.
During the seminar the participants got acquainted in detail with the list of obligations stipulated by the Agreement, their substantive content, as well as discussed issues related to the implementation of the document into national legislation as part of the negotiation process on Belarus’s accession to the WTO.
