Belarusian diplomatic mission in Geneva takes part in UN charity Bazaar

On December 3, 2019, the Palais des Nations, UN headquarters in Geneva, hosted an annual charity Bazaar organized by the UN Women's Guild. The organization mainly unites the spouse of the Heads of diplomatic missions of located in Geneva.

Employees of the Permanent Mission of Belarus jointly with family members traditionally presented to visitors of the Bazaar folk souvenirs, including handmade Christmas decorations of glass, products from flax and felt, as well as Belarusian national dishes and drinks.

Participation in the annual UN Bazaar is a unique opportunity to present to the wide multinational audience the flavor of Belarusian culture and cuisine as well as to contribute to the financing of humanitarian projects addressed to disadvantaged children and women in difficult life situations around the world.

Following the results of the 2018 Bazaar with the assistance of the Permanent Mission of Belarus in Geneva, the UN Women's Guild funded the implementation of the project “Path to Health” in the framework of which special equipment for children with special needs was purchased for the Center of Correction and Development Education and Rehabilitation of Beshenkovichi (Vitebsk Region).
