On the participation of the Belarusian delegation in the work of the 138th session of the IPU

The Belarusian parliamentary delegation led by the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus for Foreign Affairs and National Security S.Rakhmanov participated in the work of the 138th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva.     

Discussions of the global parliamentary platform this time were mainly devoted to migration and refugee issues, determining the appropriateness of improving their international legal regime.

In the period from 23 to 25 March 2018, representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus also held a number of bilateral meetings with delegations of foreign parliaments, including from Japan, Uzbekistan, Venezuela and Colombia.

A.Naumchik, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on Chernobyl Catastrophe Issues, Ecology and Nature Management of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, took part in the Forum of Women Parliamentarians, where she presented national experience in the field of women's rights protection in the context of implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
