Permanent Representative of Belarus in Geneva Yury Ambrazevich met with the President of the UN Human Rights Council

On 5 February 2021, the Permanent Representative of Belarus Yuri Ambrazevich held a conversation with the Ambassador of Fiji, Ms. Nazhat Shameem Khan, who was elected to the post of President of the UN Human Rights Council for 2021. The meeting was held online.

The interlocutors discussed the functioning of the Human Rights Council. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment and stressed the importance of adhering to the principles of impartiality and objectivity in the work of the Council, equality of UN Member States and full predictability of the rules of procedure.

The Human Rights Council President Ms. Nazhat Khan welcomed the active involvement of the Belarusian side in the work of the Council.
