A representative of the National Center of Intellectual Property took part at the 12th session of the WIPO Advisory Committee on Enforcement

On September 4-6, 2017 the 12th session of the Advisory Committee on Enforcement of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was held in Geneva. The Head of the Department for Monitoring of Compliance with the Legislation on Intellectual Property of the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP) Elena Makhankova took part in the event.

During the meeting, the participants shared their experiences relating to institutional arrangements concerning IP enforcement policies and regimes. In particular, they discussed the issues of environmentally safe disposal and destruction of IP infringing goods, the coordination of intellectual property enforcement at the national and regional levels, the efficient court procedures, the institutional arrangements to address online IP infringements. The delegates shared their national experiences on awareness building activities and strategic campaigns as a means for building respect for IP among general public.

The launch of the Guide to the Main WIPO Services facilitating access to international markets was held within the 12th session of the Committee.
