On the signing of the protocol between Belarus and Iceland on completion of negotiations on Belarus’ accession to the WTO

On May 11, 2018, the protocol on the completion of bilateral negotiations on market access for goods between Belarus and Iceland in the framework of Belarus’ accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) was signed in Geneva.

On behalf of Belarus the document was signed by the Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva Yury Ambrazevich, on behalf of Iceland – by the Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva Harald Aspelund.

Iceland became the 17th WTO Member with which the protocols on the completion of bilateral negotiations on Belarus’ accession to the WTO were signed. Earlier in 2017 similar documents were signed with South Korea, Japan, Ecuador, Norway, El Salvador and Guatemala.
