The representative of MFA of Belarus A.Taranda took part in the interactive dialogue with the UN High Commissioner on Human Rights
10.03.2017On March 9, 2017 at the 34th session of the HRC the Deputy Director of Global Policy and Humanitarian Cooperation Department of MFA Andrei Taranda took part in the interactive dialogue with the UN High Commissioner on Human Rights.
The representative of Belarus in his statement expressed concern with regard to increasing evidence of human rights violations in the developed countries, drew attention to the inefficiency of existing methods of addressing country situations, in particular, he underlined that the mandate of the special rapporteur on the situation in Belarus has long become thoroughly outmoded. He called upon the OHCHR to join the cooperation with Belarus on realization of the national instruments in the field of human rights.
