The Permanent Representative of Belarus Y.Ambrazevich chairs the Working Group on the “Way Ahead” of the UN Conference on Disarmament

On August 11, 2017 the Working Group on the “Way Ahead” of the United Nations Conference on Disarmament chaired by the Permanent Representative of Belarus Yury Ambrazevich started consideration of the agenda items “New types of weapons of mass destruction and new systems of such weapons; radiological weapons”, “Comprehensive program of disarmament” and “Transparency in armaments”.
The Working Group aims to hold in-depth consideration of issues related to these agenda items, with a focus on developing practical recommendations and the negotiating mandate.
The next meetings of the Working Group chaired by the Permanent Representative of Belarus will be held on August 14 and 15, 2017.
