On the annual Charity UN Bazaar — 2018
20.11.2018On November 20, 2018, the staff of the Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office in Geneva together with their family members participated in the annual charity Bazaar organized by the UN Women's Guild.
Mission of Belarus traditionally presented folk souvenirs, including Christmas handmade gifts of glass, products from flax and felt, as well as Belarusian national dishes and drinks.
The UN Women's Guild Bazaar, which unites mainly the spouses of the heads of diplomatic missions located in Geneva, is a traditional charity event which attracts more than 6,000 visitors annually. The money collected from the sales goes to financing humanitarian projects for disadvantaged children and women in difficult life situations around the world.
Following the Bazaar in 2017, the UN Women's Guild with the assistance of the Permanent Mission of Belarus in Geneva financed the realization of the project “We are growing up healthy – we will growing up athletic” to procure sports equipment for the children of the social and pedagogical center of Lepel (Vitebsk region, Belarus).
