Dear Friends,
Please accept wholehearted congratulations on the occasion of the Swiss National Day.
Our peoples have made great strides in seeking and decisively defending their statehood and independence through hard work while relying only on their own strength, wisdom and persistence. History has taught us that peace, justice and solidarity constitute the key values for each and every country as well as for the international community.
Owing to constructive cooperation, we have realized an array of projects that benefit both sides. We successfully develop cooperation in such areas as economics, science, culture, education, sport, and emergency situations.
We are grateful to the Swiss public organizations for their long-standing support in tackling the aftereffects the Chernobyl nuclear catastrophe.
I am confident of our ability to overcome the temporary difficulties that our countries face in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, to renew positive dynamics in our political dialogue, and to attain new outstanding results in various areas.
I sincerely wish the multinational people of the Swiss Confederation peace, further prosperity and wellbeing.
