26.03.2018

From March 20 to 22, 2018, during the 332nd session of the ILO Governing Body, the delegation of Belarus led by the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus Igor Starovoitov held a number of bilateral meetings with representatives of the International Labor Office (ILO), as well as leader of employer's and worker's groups of the ILO.

The meetings were aimed at attracting expertise and the ILO technical assistance to work on strengthening the national capacity in the field of negotiations and concluding sectoral, tariff and local collective agreements.

Separate consultations were held on the possible expansion of Belarus' participation in international legal conventions of the ILO.

The initiative of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus to hold the international conference “Trade Unions and Green Jobs” in mid-April 2018 received a positive response and support of interlocutors.
