Tthe Republic of Belarus was represented at this event by a delegation consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Environment, the National Statistics Committee and the Permanent Mission.
During the session delegates reviewed the Guidelines for the Application of Environmental Indicators in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia, has a focus on the problems of air pollution.
In addition, during the session institutional, legislative and technical mechanisms were considered necessary for the establishment of national systems for the regular collection of data and to ensure a comfortable and convenient access to existing data sets in a unified and consistent formats.
