On the meetings within the framework of the Belarusian Presidency in the Conference on Disarmament with the Permanent Representatives of Sweden and Finland

On September 1, 2020, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus in Geneva Mr. Yury Ambrazevich, in the capacity of the President of the Conference on Disarmament, held meetings with the Permanent Representative of Sweden Ms. Anna Jardfelt Melvin and the Permanent Representative of Finland Ms. Kirsti Kauppi, who are starting their work with international organizations in Geneva.

In accordance with the established diplomatic practice, the President of the Conference received the credentials of the new Permanent Representatives.

During the meetings, the current state of affairs in the field of disarmament and international security was discussed, and the understanding of the importance of preserving the Conference as a unique multilateral platform was confirmed.
