First Deputy Minister of Education of Belarus V.Bogush took part in the 12th meeting of the UNECE Steering Committee on Education for Sustainable Development

On April 20-21, 2017 the 12th meeting of the UNECE Steering Committee on Education for Sustainable Development took place in Geneva. On 19 April within the framework of this meeting a workshop on building capacity of the countries of Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus in achieving 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its SDGs was held.

The First Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Vadim Bogush took part in the workshop and in the meeting of the UNECE Steering Committee. He presented a report on the progress made and the national experience and priorities of Belarus in the implementation of the UNECE Strategy for Education for Sustainable Development.

V.Bogush also updated the participants on the outcomes of the capacity-building workshop “Professional Education of the Republic of Belarus as a Means to Support Sustainable Development and the Transition to a Green Economy”, held on April 25-26, 2016 in Minsk.

The Committee finished its work on 21 April 2017 after the consideration and the adoption of a draft work plan for implementation of the first phase of the post-2015 implementation period of the Strategy for Education for Sustainable Development for a three-year period (2017-2019).
