On the 77th session of the Global Road Safety Forum of the UNECE
24.09.2018On September 18-21, 2018, representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Mr Alexander Zanimon took part in the 77th session of the Global Road Safety Forum of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.
As a result of the discussion, the Global Forum endorsed a resolution on the introduction of high- and fully-automated vehicles in traffic in practice. The provisions of the resolution are aimed at forming the main recommendations in this area with regard to the vehicles themselves, their users, as well as to State bodies with regard to the introduction of such vehicles at the national level.
In addition, the issues of the use of driving licenses in international traffic, a safe system approach for assessing and identifying causes and conditions of road accidents, distracting the attention of drivers while driving, the principles of the use of mechanical two-wheeled vehicles, as well as recommendations for developing countries to improve road safety of vulnerable road users were diccussed during the session.
