Belarus calls on UNECE to cooperate in the transport sector

Belarusian delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Siarhei Dubina participates in the 85th session of the UNECE Inland Transport Committee, which takes place this week in Geneva.

Siarhey Dubina spoke out against the politicization of the activities of the Committee on Inland Transport, which negatively affects the UNECE's potential and undermines the role of the Commission as a global source of agreed international standards and rules in the transport sector.

The Deputy Minister also acquainted the participants of the session with the policy and achievements of the Belarusian state on the development of mobility, ensuring accessibility, safety and environmental friendliness of transport.

The representative of Belarus called on the UNECE member states to dialogue and join efforts to make progress on sustainable transport infrastructure for the benefit of the entire region.
