The UNCTAD B2C E-commerce Index for 2018
13.12.2018The UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) estimates, that Belarus is the leader among countries with transition economies, including members of the EAEU, in creating a favorable conditions for online trading. According to the UNCTAD B2C E-commerce Index for 2018, Belarus occupies 37th place among 151 countries in the world and in comparison with last year it rose by 7 positions. The index is headed by the Netherlands, Singapore, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Norway. The Russian Federation occupies the 42nd place, Ukraine — the 51st, Kazakhstan — the 53rd, Armenia — the 66th, Kyrgyzstan — the 114th.
The index is calculated as an average of four indicators (data for 2017): the number of individuals using the Internet (% of population); the number of individuals who have an account with a financial institution or a mobile money service provider (% of the population aged 15 years and older); postal reliability index; secure Internet servers (per 1 million people).
