On Belarus' participation in the 7th China Round Table on accession to the Wold Trade Organization
27.09.2018Delegation of Belarus headed by Mr. Vladimir Serpikov, Ambassador-at-large of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, participates in the 7th China Round Table on accession to the Wold Trade Organization (26-27 September 2018, Astana, Kazakhstan).
The event serves as a venue for information exchange and support to the countries, acceding to the WTO. The current forum is dedicated to consideration of benefits and challenges of the WTO membership in the context of the Eurasian economic integration.
Mr. Vladimir Serpikov confirmed Belarus' ambition to become a WTO member and informed the participants on the progress of accession negotiations taking into account Belarus' membership in the Eurasian Economic Union.
On the margins of the forum Mr. Vladimir Serpikov held a meeting with Deputy Director-General of the WTO Mr. Alan Wolff. They discussed issues of interaction between Belarus and WTO.
