WIPO will continue to support the implementation of the state innovation policy of Belarus

The Belarusian delegation participates in a series of meetings of the Assemblies of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), which takes place from 14 to 22 July in Geneva.

On the margins of the meeting, the Director General of the National Center for Intellectual Property Vladimir Rabavolau has met with the WIPO Director General Daren Tang.

V.Rabavolau has informed D.Tang about the steps of Belarus for innovative development and support of inventions, strengthening of the national system of intellectual property. For his part, D.Tang has assured of the WIPO’s continued support in the implementation of the state innovation policy of Belarus. The parties have also discussed areas for enhancing cooperation between Belarus and the WIPO.

While addressing the plenary of the WIPO General Assembly, the Belarusian delegation drew attention to the dangerous impact of unilateral coercive measures on the innovative potential of Member States and the development of the global intellectual property system for the benefit of everyone.
