Belarus in the Global Innovation Index 2021

In the WIPO GII 2021, Belarus ranks 62th, increasing its rating by
two positions compared to 2020 (64th) or by 24 positions compared to 2018 (86th position).

The report notes that the country performs better result in innovation outputs. Belarus has high scores in three pillars: “Knowledge & technology output” (37th position), “Human capital & Research” (38th), “Infrastructure” (59th position).

The improvement in Belarus ranking reflects the results of the work carried out by the Government to develop an educational environment for innovation, to improve access to ICT technologies, and to encourage innovative solutions in ITC and the export of IT services.
